VPOP was born out of the necessity when humans were compelled to stay confined in their homes due to the covid lockdown posed. The great mind behind this innovative idea is Ms Varuna Chand. She says,
“As we struggled to deal with our new reality and staying indoors, every celebration and gathering, held more meaning for us. To make all of these gathering memorable and precious for my clients the Vpop table décor themed boxes came into being.”
VPOP gives customers the ease and extra sparkle for their home with passionately curated, stunning and affordable DIY table decor boxes which bring joy and happiness into their homes. Everything needed for a fantastic table setting is already in the box. All one has to do is to effortlessly lay it out. What’s more is that every item in the box lends itself to various combinations so one will never get bored of the same arrangement.
Entrepreneur-Designer Varuna Chand was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. She had to travel every two years to various Air Force camps in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Her Father was a Wing Commander in the Indian Air Force and Mother is a Business Communication Professor.
Varuna Chand did her schooling from Air Force Bal Bharati School, Delhi and subsequently completed her BSc in Environmental Sciences from Ramjas College, Delhi University. She has double Masters, one in Business Marketing from IMT, Ghaziabad and MSc in Comparative Employment and Human Resources from London School of Economics, London.
Although she had to move after every two years, change schools and friend circle, she views her childhood journey to be very nurturing and happy. She began working full time just after her graduation in 1997.

VPOP’s Inaugural theme was Indiglam – ‘You’re A Firecracker’ box which has elements especially curated for any festive season. It has three, especially curated lotus diya (earthen lamp) centrepieces which come along with a set of six table lotus diyas. Clients get three varying heights to add an artistic element to their table. It is complimented with a complete table linen set, handcrafted and custom designed by our very own designer Varuna.
The Christmas Fully Loaded Table Decor Box – ‘You’re Totally Sleighing It’ has all the center decor pieces curated to bring in the festive cheer along with custom made table linen set which includes not one but two runners, red placemats, handmade mistletoe napkin rings and cream napkins.

Designer Vandana expresses,
“Once Covid hit, quarantine gave me the creative space to realise that décor and design are my true passions. In the past, I have struggled to find complete sets of table linen which were original yet affordable and hence the idea of VPOP arose!”
Having asked about her major achievements, she spoke,
“For Vpop, the major achievement has been to find reliable, high quality vendors, conceptualise and finalise themes and assemble all the items within the design while being in a complete pandemic lockdown. I was able to roll out not one but two inaugural themes with unique customised products along with the branding concept, without personally meeting any vendor or going to their offices/ manufacturing units.”
Highlighting her challenges, she viewed,
“Even though I love Organisation Behaviour, the most challenges I have faced in my professional careers are related to handling unprofessional or unguided employees whose attitude brought down the quality of work / output. As Lou Holtz said “ability is what you are capable of doing, motivation determines what you do but ATTITUDE depends on how well you do it.”
Designer Vandana could challenge her challenges and prove her products’ efficacy through her creative ideas and fine quality. She shared,
“Finding a reliable and most importantly trust worthy vendor during the product development phase has been the most challenging part of my road so far.”
Every new venture is a learning experience and every success adds more to the experiences. She also shared about her major learnings from her professional as well as personal journey,
“Major learning has been that ‘Feedback’ from customers is fantastic!! Ask for feedback, openly receive it and wherever possible incorporate it.”
She finally gives her valuable advice to the upcoming professionals,
“Trust your gut and be true to who you are.”
Designer Vandana Chand has great dreams and her future plans are to understand the need of her customers better so that she can provide cost effective, versatile, unique table décor themes to them, so that each one of their gatherings are made more stunning and memorable.
